Tucson, AZ (July 17, 2022) – A fatal freeway collision left two people dead and one in serious condition on Sunday, July 17th in Tucson.
The incident occurred at about 12:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 19 at KM 99.
A spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said that the driver of an SUV was traveling northbound in a southbound lane when it collided with a passenger vehicle.
The driver and passenger in the passenger vehicle were both fatally injured on impact.
The driver of the SUV is hospitalized with serious injuries.
