Wrongful Deaths Claims in Arizona
In Arizona, a wrongful death case can be brought by a surviving spouse, child, or parent against the liable entity, business, or person that acted maliciously, negligently, recklessly, or in such a way as to cause the death of the victim.
Most commonly associated with accidents, these claims commonly arise from bicycle accidents, truck accidents, car accidents, motorcycle accidents, job site accidents, or accidents caused by defective products.
Surviving family members may be eligible to receive compensation for their damages. Some damages, such as medical expenses and lost earnings, are commonplace in wrongful death claims. There are other forms of damages, however, that will be specific to each claim and are based on the claimant’s familial relationship to the victim.
