Tempe, AZ – Police Investigate Fatal Collision Between Motorcycle and Fed Ex Truck at Kyrene Rd and Elliot Rd

Tempe, AZ (July 16, 2022) – A motorcycle rider was killed during a collision with another vehicle on Saturday, July 16th in Tempe. 

According to local police, a FedEx truck and a motorcycle collided at about 6:00 a.m. in the area of Elliot Road and Kyrene Road.  

An investigation determined that the truck was traveling eastbound and turning north when it struck a westbound motorcycle. Both vehicles came to a stop in the intersection with the motorcycle all the way under the front of the truck.   

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

Impairment was not a factor in the incident.
