Phoenix, AZ (March 25, 2022) – A 40-year-old man is in the hospital following an accident that caused his motorcycle to go on fire on Friday, March 25th.
The Phoenix Fire Department estimates that the victim sustained serious burn injuries to nearly 75% of his body.
Responders said that the fire started when the motorcycle and a box truck collided with one another in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 near the turn-off for 48th Street in Phoenix.
The condition of the other driver has not been released.
It is unknown what led to the crash.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Motorcycles lack the same structural protections as passenger vehicles and, due to their small stature, many drivers fail to notice them until it’s too late. For these reasons, motorcycle operators and their passengers are particularly susceptible to critical and even fatal injuries. Motorcycle accident victims and their families deserve the security and support that an experienced personal injury attorney can provide.
Gravel spills, potholes, oil slicks, and other debris in the roadway can all result in a serious motorcycle accident, even for an experienced rider. If a foreign object or road defect is the responsibility of a state, county, or city, the time you have to file a claim is considerably shorter. Establishing fault is just one of the reasons it is important that you contact a Tempe motorcycle injury attorney immediately after your accident.
An experienced motorcycle accident lawyer will help you recover the financial compensation you are entitled to. The longer you wait, the more evidence will be lost and eyewitnesses might forget critical facts. In fact, any delay can weaken your claim and ruin your chance of receiving fair economic recovery.
