Goodyear, AZ – Fatality, Injuries Follow Traffic Collision at MC-85 and S. Cotton Ln

Goodyear, AZ (March 26, 2022) – On Thursday, March 24th, one man was killed and a second victim sustained injuries after a traffic collision in Goodyear.  

At about 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the scene at the intersection of Cotton Lane and MC-85, off South Sarival Avenue, for reports of a two-car accident.   

One man sustained major injuries and died at the scene by the officials. A second man was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. 

It is unclear if impairment or speed played a role in the accident. MC-85 was shut down in both directions from Perryville Road to Cotton Lane as crews worked at the scene.
