Mesa, AZ – Teen Passenger Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Accident at Southern Ave and Country Club Dr

Mesa, AZ (March 22, 2022) – On Saturday, March 19th, a 17-year-old girl died after a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Southern Avenue in Mesa. 

According to sources, the driver of a van was attempting to make a lefthand turn into a business when it failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle on which the teen was a passenger. 

As a result, the two vehicles collided, leaving the girl with serious injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where she eventually succumbed to her injuries.

The motorcycle operator and one of the van’s passengers sustained multiple injuries believed to be non-critical.

Impairment was not a factor in this accident.
