Glendale, AZ – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Driver at 59th Ave and Montebello Ave

Glendale, AZ (May 03, 2022) – On Sunday, May 1st, a pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Glendale.

The fatal incident took place at the intersection of Montebello Avenue and 59th Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. 

Early reports indicate that a GMC truck struck the pedestrian while they were crossing the road. After striking the victim, the driver then fled the scene. 

The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.

Officials are working to identify the hit-and-run driver.
