Picacho, AZ – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Wreck on I-10 at Picacho Peak Rd

Picacho, AZ (March 15, 2022) – A traffic accident that took place in the Picacho area, about 40 miles outside of Mesa, resulted in injuries on Tuesday evening, March 15.

The collision occurred at about 7:20 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10, close to the area of Picacho Peak Road and Exit 219. Officers say that at least two vehicles collided in left lanes, closing the highway to traffic for more than an hour.

Paramedics were also dispatched and rendered aid to the injured victims, transporting those who suffered serious injuries to a local hospital for admittance. 

The incident remains under investigation, and further information has not been made public.
