Glendale, AZ (March 16, 2022) – One person was injured during a gas leak on Wednesday, March 16th in the area of West Thunderbird Road and 59th Avenue in Glendale.

An official with the Glendale Fire Department said the gas leak seemed to be coming from a four to six-inch gas line. Crews worked with Southwest Gas to shut off the line.

The official also confirmed that one person was injured but declined to reveal the extent of the injury.

Responders evacuated other structures and shut down all traffic in the area.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
