Phoenix, AZ (June 02, 2022) – One person was killed and another injured during a head-on collision in the area of Northern Avenue and 31st Avenue on Wednesday, June 1st.
The incident took place at about 4:15 a.m. when, according to a police investigation, an eastbound SUV drifted across the centerline and collided head-first with an oncoming sedan.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the sedan passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
The victim’s identity has not been released pending family notification.
The cause of the crash is still under review.
