Wrong-Way Accidents in Arizona
A bulletin published by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration says that head-on crashes make up almost 10% of all vehicle collisions in urban locations and nearly 15% in rural areas. Head-on crashes happen more often in rural settings because streets tend to be more narrow and inadequately lit.
The most common causes of wrong-way crashes in Arizona are:
- Drivers who are under the influence
- Drivers who disregard the speed limit
- Drivers who are not paying attention
- Drivers who are overly tired
- Driver error
- Vehicle defects/Faulty car parts
- Improper vehicle maintenance
In Arizona, anyone injured in a vehicle accident for which they are not liable is entitled to pursue economic recovery for their losses from the liable driver. Being awarded full compensation, however, will require you to provide compelling evidence of their negligence.
An experienced car accident lawyer in Arizona will know the most efficient way to build a strong claim for full recovery if you or a family member is injured.
