Phoenix, AZ – Four Hospitalized After Collision With Gas Pump at Central Ave and Dobbins Rd

Phoenix, AZ (April 28, 2022) – Multiple people were injured on Thursday, April 28th when a car crashed into a gas pump outside a Circle K in Phoenix.

Officials said the crash took place at about 11:00 a.m. in the area of Dobbins Road and Central Avenue when a car heading westbound on Dobbins Road swerved to circumvent a collision with another car on Central Avenue.

The vehicle then jumped a curb and crashed into the gas pumps outside Circle K. 

The two women and 6-year-old boy who were inside the vehicle were taken to a nearby hospital in non-critical condition.

A man who was near the gas pumps at the time of the accident was also injured when he was hit by a tire that dislodged from the vehicle. He was also taken to the hospital.

According to police, the vehicle was allegedly involved in another crash near 3rd Street. The driver fled the scene before crashing into the Circle K gas pump.

Impairment is believed to be a factor in both collisions.
