Tucson, AZ – Gage Bastian Killed in Motorcycle Crash at E. Speedway Blvd and N. Jones Blvd

Tucson, AZ (May 28, 2022) – Police have released the identity of the motorcycle rider who was killed during a collision with another vehicle in the area of North Jones Boulevard and East Speedway Boulevard on Monday, May 23rd in Tucson.  

A representative from the Tucson Police Department said that 26-year-old Gage Bastian was riding westbound along East Speedway Boulevard when a car turned directly in front of him, causing the two to collide.

Bastian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials said the driver of the car remained on the scene and cooperated fully with their investigation. At this time, impairment is not considered a factor in the crash. 

It is unclear if the driver of the car will be cited for failure to yield.
