Scottsdale, AZ – Pedestrian Killed by Dump Truck on Loop 101 Near Cactus Rd

Scottsdale, AZ (April 21, 2022) – On Wednesday, April 20th, one person died when they were struck by a dump truck just outside of Scottsdale. 

At about 4:30 a.m., police responded to the southbound lanes of Loop 101 near Cactus Road for reports of a pedestrian struck by a dump truck.

According to reports, a Cadillac Escalade was found parked on the shoulder nearby. 

It is unclear if the pedestrian died at the scene or at an area hospital. 

The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of the kin is notified.
