Wrongful Deaths Claims in Arizona
Most often associated with deadly accidents, wrongful death claims arise from incidents such as bicycle accidents, motorcycle accidents, tractor-trailer accidents, car accidents, workplace accidents, or accidents involving defective products.
In order to obtain financial compensation for damages in the wrongful death of a family member, a wrongful death case can be initiated by a surviving child, spouse, or parent against the liable government agency, business, or person that behaved negligently, maliciously, recklessly or in such a way as to cause the victim’s death.
Surviving family members may be eligible to collect recovery for their damages. Some damages, such as medical costs and lost earnings, are fairly omnipresent in Arizona wrongful death claims. There are, however, other potential damages unique to each claim. These will be based on the claimant’s familial relationship with the deceased.
