Phoenix, AZ (March 04, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries in a traffic collision on Friday, March 4th near downtown Phoenix.

The crash took place at about 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of West Buckeye Road and South 7th Avenue when a Pontiac sedan struck a curb and a pick-up truck and then crashed into a building.

The driver was taken to an area hospital with critical injuries. Both passengers were also hospitalized in non-critical conditions.

The status of the truck driver is unknown.

Officials believe speed was a factor in the incident.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Passenger Injuries in Arizona

In nearly all traffic accidents, establishing which driver was at fault is of the utmost importance. When a passenger is injured, however, chances are the fault lies with the driver of their car, the driver of the other car, or some outside condition over which a passenger has no control and, by extension, no legal responsibility.

For this reason, passengers normally have no liability in an accident. The important question for them is which person and/or insurance carrier is be responsible for their damages, including hospital and medical costs, lost income, pain and suffering, and other losses as well.

As an injured passenger, a car insurance carrier is certain to play a role in recovering financial compensation for your losses. The rules surrounding these kinds of accidents are complicated, so victims should consult an attorney as soon as possible after being injured as a passenger in a road accident.
