Phoenix, AZ – Francisco Moreno Fatally Struck by Vehicle at 35th Ave and Glendale Rd

Phoenix, AZ (May 09, 2022) – Local police have identified 42-year-old Francisco Moreno as the man who died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday, May 7th in Phoenix.

The fatal pedestrian accident took place at about 8:40 p.m. in the area of Glendale Road and 35th Avenue. Responders arrived at the scene a short while later. A preliminary investigation determined that Moreno was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a car traveling eastbound on Glendale Road.  

Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the striking vehicle remained at the scene. Neither one was injured during the impact. 

Impairment is not thought to be a factor in the incident.
