Phoenix, AZ (March 28, 2022) – Four children were left with critical injuries following a two-vehicle collision on Sunday, March 27th near the intersection of West Dunlap Avenue and 31st Avenue at about 12:00 a.m.

Phoenix fire crews said that a 4-year-old boy, 6-year-old boy, 14-year-old girl, and a 14-year-old boy were all taken to a local hospital in critical condition. The medical status of all four has since been upgraded to serious.

Three adults were also injured and received treatment on the scene but refused to be taken to the hospital.

It is unclear if all seven victims were from the same vehicle.

Authorities are still working to learn what led up to the crash.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Passenger Injuries in Arizona

In almost all car accidents, determining the at-fault driver is of paramount importance. When a passenger is injured, however, the overwhelming probability is that the fault lies with the driver of their vehicle, the driver of the other vehicle, or some outside condition over which a passenger has absolutely no control and for which they have no legal responsibility.

Due to this, passengers normally have no liability in an accident. The important question for them is which person and/or insurance carrier is be responsible for their damages, including hospital and medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses as well.

As an injured passenger, a car insurance company is sure to play a part in recovering financial compensation for their losses. The rules surrounding these types of accidents are complicated, so victims should speak with an attorney as soon as possible after being injured as a passenger in a car accident.
