Laveen, AZ – Pedestrian Hit, Killed at 51st Ave and Baseline Rd

Laveen, AZ (April 18, 2022) – A woman sustained fatal injuries when she was hit by a pick-up truck at the intersection of Baseline Road and 51st Avenue on Saturday, April 16th in Laveen.  

According to sources, the driver of the pick-up truck was traveling northbound on 51st Avenue at about 7:00 p.m. when the struck a pedestrian in her early 20s. Her identity has not been released.

The woman was crossing the street when the accident occurred. She was taken to a local hospital where she later passed away.  

No one else was hurt in the collision, and police have eliminated impairment as a factor.

The incident is still under investigation.
