Causes of Head-On Collisions in Arizona

A publication issued by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration states that head-on collisions account for nearly 10% of all vehicle accidents in metropolitan areas and close to 15% in more rural locations. Head-on accidents occur more frequently in rural settings because the roadways tend to be more narrow and poorly lit.

The leading sources of head-on collisions in Arizona include:

  • Drivers who are under the influence
  • Drivers who disregard the speed limit
  • Drivers who are not paying attention
  • Drivers who are overly tired
  • Driver error
  • Vehicle defects/Faulty car parts
  • Improper vehicle maintenance

In Arizona, someone who is injured in a car accident for which they are not at fault is entitled to pursue economic recovery for their losses from the liable driver. Being awarded full compensation, however, will require you to provide compelling evidence of their negligence.

An experienced car accident lawyer from Saavedra Law in Arizona will know the most efficient way to build a strong claim for full recovery if you or a family member is injured.
