Phoenix, AZ – Tiffini Cunningham Killed, Four Critical After Two-Car Crash at 40th St and Cactus Rd

Phoenix, AZ (March 20, 2022) – Officials identified Tiffini Cunningham as the woman who died during a traffic collision on Friday, March 18th in Phoenix that left four other victims in critical condition.

The collision occurred in the area of Cactus Road and 40th Street when an SUV carrying five people heading eastbound on Cactus Road crashed into a sedan making a lefthand turn onto 40th Street. The SUV then struck a traffic light pole. 

Cunningham was a passenger in the SUV. 

According to sources, an adult male, an 18-year-old man, and two 17-year-old girls were all taken to a local hospital with critical injuries. 

Impairment is not considered a factor at this time. The intersection was restricted in all directions while officers investigated.
