Phoenix, AZ – Robert Tsiosdia Killed in Pedestrian Crash Near Indian School Rd

Phoenix, AZ (June 30, 2022) – One person was killed during a hit-and-run incident in the pre-dawn hours of Thursday, June 29th near the Interstate 17 overpass on Indian School Road in Phoenix.

According to officials, at about 4:00 a.m., Phoenix police responded to reports of a pedestrian-involved crash in the area. Upon their arrival, officers learned from witnesses that the victim, since identified as Robert Tsiosdia, was trying to cross Indian School Road in a northbound direction when he was struck by a driver traveling eastbound.

The driver initially fled the scene but was located and apprehended by police near North Mountain Park a short time while later. 

No additional details have been made available.
