Phoenix, AZ (August 10, 2022) – Officers from the Phoenix Police Department responded to reports of a major automobile collision at Grant Street and I-17 on Wednesday, August 10th.
When officers arrived on northbound Interstate 17 at 9:35 p.m., they saw an automobile on its side and another vehicle with substantial damage.
Phoenix firefighters rushed to the scene and swiftly issued a first-alarm medical rescue to assist a number of victims. Multiple agencies were called to the area, and at least two people with unclear situations were taken to nearby hospitals.
At the time of writing, the reason for the accident was still unknown.
