Phoenix, AZ – Braulio Silva Rodriquez Dead, One Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash Near I-10/I-17 Split

Phoenix, AZ (June 29, 2022) – One person died in a fiery overnight collision in the area of the Interstate 17 and Interstate 10 split in Phoenix on Tuesday, June 28th. 

Officials from the Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that two Dodge Ram pick-up trucks were involved in the crash. 

One of the pick-ups was traveling eastbound near the exit for I-17 when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver lost control and struck the median. The pick-up flew over the median guardrail and struck a westbound pick-up.  

The at-fault driver, 27-year-old Braulio Silva Rodriquez, a resident of Phoenix, died at the scene. 

The other driver was hospitalized with injuries classified as non-life-threatening.
