Maricopa, AZ – Injury Collision Involving USPS Delivery Truck Closes Down Smith-Enke Rd

Maricopa, AZ (July 28, 2022) – A collision involving multiple vehicles, one of which was a U.S. Postal Service delivery truck, led to the closure of Smith-Enke Road on Thursday, July 28th.

The incident took place at about 12:00 p.m. between North Santa Rosa Drive and North Desert Greens Drive, in the area of Province Parkway. 

The westbound lanes were closed for roughly three hours as the Maricopa Police Department and other law enforcement agencies investigated the three-car crash that involved a postal truck.

Officials determined that one of the vehicles involved was heading eastbound when the driver drifted over the median into oncoming traffic, crashing into the mail truck and one other vehicle. 

All three drivers were transported by ambulance to Exceptional Healthcare in Maricopa for treatment of non-critical injuries. 

The names of the drivers have not been released.
